about me

hi! my name is kelli. i am a christian, conservative, intellectual and traveler--in that order. during the upcoming year, i will blog here about my GRAND ADVENTURES in budapest, hungary, the CAPITAL of CENTRAL EUROPE. join me as I venture into the intellectual, historical, political, and academic centers of the city in my work with a conservative think tank and local college. my work will surely open to me to the beautiful but famously difficult hungarian language, and also acquaint me with rich hungarian culture, art, and history. it will also expose me to the critical work the hungarian government engages in today in her noble bid to save persecuted christians across this wide world from displacement and persecution. if this interests you, i invite you come along as i learn, teach, enjoy, munch, gawk, chronicle, photograph, ponder and stroll my way through the upcoming year.

during my tenure in budapest my home base will be a tiny top-floor studio flat located in the pest side of the 'INNER CITY' neighborhood that straddles the storied 'blue danube' and famed vaci utca shopping street. this locale promises me a daily peekaboo view of gorgeous gellert hill and the ancient 'cave church', and also positions me close to hundreds of cafes, bistros, walking streets, churches, markets, and landmarks. SO MUCH good stuff is ahead and i can't wait to share it ALL with you! ~ kelli
